Life has been very busy, but I think I've been handling my responsibilities well enough. My plant is still living, so I cant be totally fucking things up.

I had to get my car fixed last week. It cost me $300, but it was a really quick fix, which is always good. Unless... you have to pay $300. Haha. These things happen.

So i went to Edmonton today with my sisters and my cousin. We went to WEM, did some shopping and watched the movie "I Love You Man" and it was GREAT. I really loved that movie. I think I'm probably gonna buy a copy when it comes out on dvd. It was a good one. I really liked their characters. And the guys relationship, they played a good relationship very well. I really thought that was a good portrayal of a very good relationship. Good stuff. :P

And in other developments, it appears that I might be staying in Camrose, but Im still yet to make a final decision. I paid UofC for my application fee. Which was $115 out of my pocket but hey whats another $115 when you already paid $300? Eek. More money.

I am very tired, so I think I will maybe write more tomorrow. After I get some studying done! Good night kids.

Happy birthday to Morgan and Elizabeth! Saturday Night. I worked, yea. I'm going to see my friend, Will, before he leaves for Pheonix/Las Vegas to go ride in BMX competitions for a month, tomorrow. I wish I could go somewhere. Anywhere but here. It's my Spring Break. School is so stressful the longer I'm in it. I can't wait to get my degree. This was definately a much needed break. I'm going to Nashville with Morgan, Monday, just to go, but I really want to do something crazy fun..I just don't know what. I have the urge to be more daring than usual. Like when I'm riding my bike I want to just go insane, but I really don't want to break anything or hit a tree. mountain biking, or cross-country moutain biking is just too amazing. i love it. sometimes i feel like all i need is my bike and nothing more. guys are so complicated. or actually, maybe it's just me? haha let's see, october-jan was Jarrod, and even tho we dated so short we've liked eachother for a few years but that's such a long story I don't want to type it. jan-feb was Will, and then feb-nowish was John. i'm so wishy washy, i just don't know. i feel like i'm so young that i shouldn't just settle for one person so early. explore my options. right? i don't date a bunch of guys all at once, but if one gets me thinking i skip to the next. i think john would be really good to date though. he's really sweet and a real gentleman. since when can someone my age say that about a guy? haha
 so i'm sitting here going back and forth talking to Megan's mom on facebook and i realize, a lot of my past delt with them and it's crazy how they were such a huge part of my life. among many things, i remember them the most. i want them in my life forever, and of course my family.
i miss my dad. i'm glad i'm going to see him tomorrow. he's so wonderful but he lives so far away that i don't get to see him as often as i'd like. i wish he'd move out here to Germantown or something.

 I found out something interesting today at lunch, something I think might really help me in the end. Not everyone cares about how much they hurt their former partner or about being fair to them or even about how the divorce will impact their children's lives. A lot of parents don't care if the other parent ever sees the children again. Some people look upon divorce as their opportunity to grab and take as much as they possibly can, regardless of whether or not its fair. Some people pack up the car on the spur of the moment and leave, just abandoning everything, children included. Others look upon leaving as the opportunity to rub the others face in the mud so to speak, unleashing as much negativity and pain upon them as possible.

Here I am, thinking of him, worrying about breaking his heart, fearing he might end up alone, unhappy and bitter. I know I don't want to be with him, but that doesn't mean I want him to be alone in his senior years. He is a person, a human being and growing old alone can really be hard on a person.

I worry about being fair, I look around the house and think of the minimum I can take, wanting to leave him with his needs met, regardless of my own. I think about saying good bye to things I chose for the house and for myself like my computer chair for example. If he wanted it then I would let him have it. In the end he just can't have me.

And he can't have the kids, not full time. He doesn't lose his temper often but when he does it can be ugly, scary for the kids. He loves them dearly, and I want him to be able to see them. I don't think it would be healthy for the boys for me to desire otherwise but I also fear him having full time custody might not be best either. I seek a balance, something that can be healthy for all of us.

In the end, he will hurt, but at least it won't be out of viciousness on my part, I hope to make sure of that and that is a far cry better than many folks are willing to give their exes. I'll always be sad for him, but I can't hold myself responsible for how he responds as long as I know I did my best to spare him pain.

After a stressful week I FINALLY have some down time. -_-; I couldn't BELIEVE how stressed I was this week. All because of an air head moment. And in the end it was pointless to worry so fucking much. I forgot to call to see if I had jury duty. ^^; Thus sending me into this panic. Come to find out I wasn't needed so it was okay. Still I lost sleep over it. Lesson learned. ^^;

I have this feeling that something is going to happen this month. What I don't know. =/ Still bothering me. It may be because my job is going full time and I'm just nervous. *yawn* But a change is in the air I know that. It's like I'm nervous or something. What it is I'm not sure. *sigh* We'll see. Tonight was exhausting. By the end of the shift, I could barely stand. If we'd had /anyone/ who might've been able to cover, there is no way I would've gone to work. As was, I just proved that I'd been raised by a Saskatchewan farm girl, and muscled through. Holy crap, though.

I'm hungry, finally, and I have half a can of chicken noodle soup. I'm trying not to scarf it (those who have dined with me will know that my usual eating speed is somewhere along the lines of that of light - I don't know why, I was an only child, so it's not like it's some ingrained 'get it before it's gone' thing...), 'cause eating at my normal rate before work almost resulted in my not going to work. Seriously, all it would've taken was one more trip to the bathroom within a five minute period, and that was it. Sorry Stan, I know this is only your fifth shift, but there's no way I'm comin' in if I have to run to the crapper every few minutes.

I was alarmingly disappointed when I got home to find Sarah not online. She's probably out with her sister or something, but the sudden desperation just goes to prove how very, very tired I am. There's nothin' left, man, seriously.

So I'm going to eat this soup, drink my glass of juice, and then probably eventually settle into bed. I should sleep, despite my retarded emotional dependencies. (Really, it's not usually this bad. I just get clingy when I'm sick, and have no tolerance, after a 5.5 hour shift of running around, for feeling incomplete.)

Anyway. State of the Kat? Not so good right now. Of course, we knew this when we were feverish all day and could barely read.

I really, really shouldn't've gone to work. But I washed my hands frequently, breathed away from people's drinks, and didn't touch /anything/ that would come in contact with someone's mouth.

Chocolate Fiber One Clusters

Ok, my friend is on Weight Watchers and she actually lost about 100 lbs and has kept it off for like 7 years, she's amazing, but anyway, I digress.. She makes these all the time, they are so good and about the healthiest chocolatey dessert I've ever had. 


1 half sleeve of Fiber One Cereal (about 1.5 cups)
1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips

Melt chocolate chips gently over double boiler
Add Fiber One Cereal, stir together to combine until all Fiber One pieces are coated.
Drop onto wax paper by spoonful
Chill 10-15 minutes, eat! :) 

Rob&#8217;s hands: Operation date!

Yes. It’s true. Rob finally has a date for the operation.  March 30th, they’ll tackle the carpal tunnel in his right wrist.

Of course, first, he has to have a pre-op physical.  I don’t have any understanding of why he has to have this second physical when he just had one with the same doctor.  We are both hoping that they will be able to schedule this physical rather faster than they did the other one, otherwise they’ll have to push the operation date back.  Mind you, when the problem was first diagnosed in October, the surgeon had wanted to get Rob in that week for surgery.  Clearly, he is dealing with relatavistic time of some sort.

The SG arm forces ( cant spell out too much ) actually sent me a call up notification .. apparently aaron said it was in camp training in oct ...

Theres a hot girl working in the cosmetics stall downstairs but I just don't know what to do ...

Colleague making me do unecessary stuff again ...

I may have to stay in Singapore to do my studies ...

On a brighter note ... I got accepted into University of Indiana Bloomington ... Finance ...

At least I have a school like master to fall back on ...

I can also prepare to say Sayonara Singapore too ... If I can go there to study ...

fabchanel

Regelmatig keek ik via Fabchanel naar concerten, opgenomen in Paradiso en de Melkweg. Een aantal daarvan, onder andere van Therapy? en Killing Joke, heb ik zelf bezocht en terugkijken is dan extra leuk.

Vandaag ontving ik bericht van Fabchanel dat op 13 maart de stekker eruit gaat. Reden: "Een groot deel van de platenmaatschappijen staat ons nog steeds niet toe hun artiesten op te nemen. Hierdoor kunnen we niet bieden wat we nodig hebben om Fabchannel in leven te houden."

Downloaden van Fabchanel is niet mogelijk. Ik kan me echter wel indenken dat er mensen zijn die voorstelling organiseren, waar je tegen betaling op een groot scherm naar Fabchanel kan kijken, maar ik vraag me af of de platenmaatschappijen daar wakker van liggen. De verkoop van cd's holt achteruit, maar dat ligt niet aan Fabchanel.

De grote platenmaatschappijen en de detailhandel hebben er voor gezorgd dat de cd- en dvdprijzen enorm zijn gestegen. Logisch dat we gaan downloaden, zelf als dat resulteert in kwaliteitverlies. Er zijn al bands die muziek aanbieden via de eigen site. Zo heb ik vorig jaar een dubbel cd van Therapy? gekocht en gedownload via de site. Kostte mij een tientje. Het geld gaat rechtstreeks naar de band. Zou het niet mooi zijn als alle muzikanten het op deze manier zouden doen?

Enfin. Ik vind het jammer dat Fabchanel stopt, want het was heerlijk op deze manier na te kunnen genieten van een van de beste Therapy?concerten en om New Cool Collective, Editors en Bloc Party te kunnen zien. Daarom: Bedankt Fabchanel, voor jaren veel kijk- en luisterplezier!

En voor jullie - trouwe lezers - links naar concerten die de moeite waard zijn. Maar wel kijken voor 13 maart, anders ben je te laat!
